Parafeed has formed a strategic partnership with NeuroFlex®, a rapidly growing Brain Health technology company based in North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.
NeuroFlex® uses Virtual Reality (VR), eye tracking technology, to objectively measure Vestibular-Ocular Motor reflexes. NeuroFlex®, was developed from more than 30 years of research into eye and head movement by the company’s founder Dr. Mimi Galiana, Professor Emeritus at McGill University, Canada.
NeuroFlex® is being used by sporting organizations, clinics, hospitals, and Universities around the world as an aide to assessing brain health performance.
Parafeed, and its groundbreaking technology “REEVEER-PitEye”, uses the same VR technology provided by FOVE Inc, a Japanese based company leading in the world of eye-tracking accuracy.
REEVEER-PitEye has been widely used in the departments of internal medicine and surgery in Japan and has helped support doctors with patients with symptoms of vertigo and dizziness.
This business alliance enables the “REEVEER-PitEye” technology to be used in overseas hospitals and clinics in the future – utilising the global reach of the NeuroFlex team and their distribution channels.
There are multiple markets into which this exciting collaboration is looking to venture. In Japan alone, vertigo is believed to affect and estimated 2.24 million elderly people. The addressable global market is growing year on year, with hospitals in clinics in a variety of demographically maturing markets placing an emphasis on the need for this type of solution.
Key details of the system:
• Parafeed’s REEVEER-PitEye medical device, consists of a personal computer, FOVE Inc. VR equipment and can be used for testing internal ear function and balance function, including vertigo and ,dizziness.
• NeuroFlex’s Software as a Medical Device (SAMD) consists of a personal computer, FOVE Inc. VR equipment and can be used for testing Vestibular Ocular Motor reflexes, a key objective assessment for brain health performance
Parafeed and NeuroFlex are working closely to combine their technology solutions, harnessing their collective expertise and connections, to improve the brain health of patients around the world .
